Transmitting EDI to InfiniTrak
If both the wholesaler and the dispenser/trading partner are already using InfiniTrak the data will automatically be sent electronically between InfiniTrak accounts. Our preferred method would be to have both the sender and receiver on our platform. However, if that is not an option, the sections below outline the alternatives.
Applicability Standard 2 (AS2)
Setting up a new trading partner to transmit EDI to InfiniTrak using AS2 is fairly straightforward and in many cases the setup for an AS2 connection is quick. The amount of time required to establish a new EDI connection depends on response time and both teams' abilities to resolve errors with test and production transactions. AS2 is the preferred protocol for its speed, security, and reliability.
Establishing an AS2 connection requires the exchange of the endpoints and "certificates".
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)
Setting up a new trading partner to transmit EDI to InfiniTrak using SFTP is very easy. However, the downside is that it is not always reliable. In order to do this we need the trading partner to send us 5 pieces of information. Which are:
- Network Name
- Receiver ISA
- Sender ISA
- SFTP Username (for our service to log into the SFTP server)
- SFTP Password (for our service to log into the SFTP server)
Similar to what we do with AS2 connections, we first run a test of the file before moving to production.
